What is ANBK 2024?

The 2024 Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) is one of the flagship programs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemedikbud Ristek) which aims to evaluate and improve the quality of education in Indonesia. ANBK is an important tool in photographing and measuring various aspects of education, from input, process, to learning output in all educational units. ANBK is attended by students in grade 5 of elementary school, grade 8 of junior high school, and grade 11 of SMA/SMK or equivalent.

Main Goal of ANBK 2024

The implementation of ANBK 2024 is designed to achieve several main objectives. Among others are:

  • Improving Education Quality: ANBK provides an overview of the quality of education in various schools and madrasas in Indonesia. With ANBK results, schools can self-evaluate and plan improvement steps.
  • Encouraging Learning Improvement: ANBK results serve as a reference for educators and other stakeholders to enhance teaching methods and the learning process. This is important to ensure that every student receives quality education.
  • Capturing Student Learning Outcomes: ANBK not only assesses the final outcome (output) of learning but also examines the process and other factors that influence the quality of education.

Implementation of ANBK 2024 at AL-IKHLAS Vocational School

One of the schools that actively participated in ANBK 2024 is SMK AL-IKHLAS. With great enthusiasm, the students of SMK AL-IKHLAS took part in the ANBK exam held on August 19-20, 2024.

On the first day, participants faced the Literacy Test and Character Survey, where their reading skills and character understanding were assessed. This is important to gauge how well students understand the learning materials and how their character develops during their education.

On the second day, the students tackled the Numeracy Test and Learning Environment Survey. The numeracy test aims to measure students’ ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts in daily life. Meanwhile, the learning environment survey depicts the conditions and situations around the students that may influence their learning process.

A total of 15 students from SMK AL-IKHLAS participated in ANBK 2024. The exam was conducted safely and smoothly, thanks to the thorough preparation from the school and the high enthusiasm from the participants.

Benefits of ANBK for Students and Schools

Participation in ANBK brings many benefits, both for students and schools. For students, ANBK helps them to better identify their weaknesses and strengths in learning, allowing them to focus more on improving their performance. For schools, the ANBK results serve as a reflection of the quality of education provided and form the basis for developing better development plans.

Conclusion

ANBK 2024 is not just an evaluation, but also a tool to encourage continuous improvement in the education system. With the implementation of ANBK, it is hoped that every educational unit can continuously enhance its quality and provide the best education for the nation’s future generation.
